Japan won the women’s team competition

Japan won the women’s team competition at the World Wrestling Championships in Budapest. The athletes of the Asian country managed to win four out of the ten gold medals in the female categories.

Yui Susaki (50 kg), Hakuna Oruno (53 kg), Mayu Mukaida (55 kg) and Risako Kavai (59 kg) all finished first, and in the end the Japanese collected a total of 156 points.

China (one gold and four silver medals) finished second with 119 points, and the United States (one gold, one silver and two bronze medals) third with 103 points.
