Those who come to the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna not only can watch the bouts of the World Wrestling Championships in Budapest. The another exciting spot is the Fan Zone, where we can do a lot of interesting things.
Right next to the entrance of the Fan Zone we can find the gift station, where those who played during the day with the quiz can recieve their reward. We can find this stand with the help of the Seyu applicaton.
The Hungarikum exhibiton includes plenty of interesting products, with some of Hungary’s traditional artifacts from the Törley champagne, through the different types of pálinka, to the Kalocsa patterned objects.
Moving further ahead, we will find a betting site for horse sports. We can give our votes for carriage drivings, horse races and greyhound races. This is site basically a Hungarian site, but we can bet for any competition and race on the planet, from which the French events are the most popular ones.
In the Fan Zone there are 14 giant boards which showcase the history of wrestling starting from the very beginning. We can get to know the achievements of the Hungarian wrestlers at the Olympic Games and at the World Championships.
You can also find here the stand of the Hungarian Defence Forces, who came here mainly beacuse of recruitment. Those who have already turned 18 can get further informations about the army. They amaze the expectators with gun shows and an aircraft simulator, and the fans can also try the lasershooting to find out how is to shot with a gun.
We can see on a monitor the Kozma István Wrestling Academy’s freshly opened facility in Csepel. The wrestling mat’s pattern, which is right next to the monitor, popularizes this building complex. The mat is the same which is used by the wrestlers during the bouts of the World Championships.
The most exciting corner of the room is the „meet your hero” stand where the fans and the children can meet with their idols and they can also take pictures with them.
The promotion of next year’s world champiopnships cannot miss from this place. Representatives of the upcoming event, and of the Organizing Committee of the World Wrestling Championships of Astana, Kazakhstan come here to answer the questions that interet the fans.
In the fourth corner of the Fan Zone old Hungarian relics are hiding, which have absolutely no connenction to wrestling, but they show the history of the Hungarian nation.
The last stop is the exhibiton of United World Wrestling’s (international federation) sports equipment supplier, where the fans can try the different sports equipments.
